After borrowing "My World on Wheels" from a cycling friend in about 1985 and devouring the content my wife and I set about searching for a copy (pre internet days). After around 15 years of looking through thousands of books in every secndhand bookstore, junk shop and antique shop - one day - my wife came across a copy on a shelf in High St, Malvern in Melbourne. I'll never forget her shaking voice form the other room of the shop saying "David.... I I I found it". If my house was burning down, it'd only be my family photos and this book that I'd save.
